ChemistryOA
Open Access to Scholarly Literature, Data and Lab Experiments in Chemistry
---- A subject Guide
Introduction
Open access, open data and open notebook science are burgeoning scholarly publishing and communication. Information and materials published by them are immediately, permanently and freely accessible online by public right upon publication, moreover, they are free of most copyright, licensing restrictions, patents or other mechanisms of control. Open access refers to the freely available scholarly and research full-text articles found in open access journals, archives and databases. Open data refers to non-textual and factual scientific data. Open notebook science refers to an online laboratory notebook that is freely available and indexed on common search engines; researchers in the world can easily re-analyze, re-interpret and re-purpose the information published in the notebook and contribute to experiments.
ChemistryOA is a subject guide which is meant to assist chemists, researchers and librarians in finding, publishing and sharing scholarly research literature, structure data and lab experiments in the fields of chemistry and related disciplines via open access, open data and other open resources. All resources listed in this subject guide can be freely accessed, used and distributed by users. Users are obliged to acknowledge and properly cite them.
